Can it be Spring?

My mother sent me this photo of a beautiful, unusual daffodil she came across.
I've never seen anything like it but it makes me so happy. Put that together with the forecast of 76 degrees for Monday and who needs more?

Tatting experiments

I will be teaching a tatted jewelry class in June at the Lacemakers and Collectors Exchange (LACE) Lace Day in Chicago on June 13th. I'm still working on designs but this is the sort of project we'll be working on.
It's not terribly complicated but the pendant is supported by a heavier thread base paired with a light jewelry wire to give it some strength. More info on the  day at http://www.lacemakersofillinois.org.

If you don't know how to tat but would like to take this class, not to worry because I will be teaching a beginner tatting workshop in May at Hopewell Weaving in Chillicothe, IL (near Peoria). More info on this class at their website:  http://www.hopewellcreations.com.
