While looking at The National Weather Service winter storm warning, I came across a weather comment I've never seen before. The warning was detailing the 6-8 inches of snow expected from late Wednesday into Friday and to emphasize the strength of the winds states that:
"... GUTSY NORTHWESTERLY WINDS WILL CREATE CONSIDERABLE BLOWING AND DRIFTING SNOW THURSDAY NIGHT"
